___Yes. When I started writing some ideas on the topic of historical cycles, I wasn't sure how I felt about this latest theory. However, I was already convinced that human history does indeed follow fairly consistent wave patterns of alternating (up & down, Yin versus Yang) progression toward some distant destiny. But I'm also pretty sure that historians & futurists are not able to accurately predict the future beyond next week. The Trump presidency is blow back from the process moving too quickly, but it will not derail the inevitable move toward a more socialistic society. The goodness of the Trump presidency and Brexit is that they will provide balance in a future socialistic society. Perhaps it might be something akin to Bush's Compassionate Conservatism. I suppose time will tell.
